if you missed my living room before and after post, read that first so you'll understand why I started redecorating in the first place.
long story short, when Lu and I moved in together, I didn't have any of my own furniture, so we used all of his dark, moody bachelor-pad-esque stuff. I hated it, but alas, I had just started my own business and was putting every cent I had left and made into growing Inspiralized.
I am so desperate for spring to be here.
there have been little teases of 50 degree weeks, 65 degree days, and even 70 degree days in February and early March and now.... we're back to 20 degree days and snow.
in july, my parents moved to Florida. they've been spending the past 5 or 6 winters in Florida, and they finally made the move down there. my father's not retired, so he still comes up every couple of weeks from spring through early winter, but then they're in Florida until around late march.
ever since Inspiralized moved out of our living room and into its own office space, I've had fun redecorating our living room space.
goodbye clutter! now, I can actually see the walls of my living room, they're not covered by shelving and stacks of papers. it's liberating, refreshing, and has helped me become more inspired and let my personal style shine even more.
I'm back with another gift guide! I've almost done with my holiday shopping (thank GOSH!), and a few of these items I actually bought!
here are some gift ideas for that homebody friend that loves to Netflix and chill (with a guy/girl/cat, whatever!)
ready to get your gift shopping done early this year? I am! I'll be sharing some gift guides over the next couple of weeks, for those of you still searching!
let's start with your best friend - the girl you do everything with, who gets you. she deserves something sweet and thoughtful, just like her!
this past week and weekend, Lu and I were in Anguilla celebrating the marriage of our friends Kristen and Marc. we stayed at the incredible Four Seasons Resort (formerly the Viceroy) and it was just absolutely perfect - the hotel, the wedding, the times spent with friends. the bride looked absolutely stunning (like supermodel gorgeous) and the island was beautiful.
one of the reasons that I was looking forward to having my own office was so that I could get a proper mirror to take outfit selfies. it sounds materialistic, but fashion is something I've recently found peace with (after finding peace with my body) and I want to catalog my style.
it's hot. it's cold. it's hot, not humid. it's cold at night.
welcome to the beginning of fall. it's not quite bundle-up weather, but it's also not blistering hot. it's basically the hardest time of year to look cute, because you're constantly sweating or freezing because you're forcing either cold gear or savoring summer when it's too chilly to savor.
