I was recently reading a baby book that said pregnant women tend to store extra fat in their thighs as a way to preserve essential fats for when your body is ready to breastfeed. while that's awesome, I'm not really enjoying the extra pudge around my inner thighs! and I'm a girl who does a LOT of squats, lunges, and other leg-defining moves.
I've been totally embracing the bump lately. it seems that every day, it grows a bit bigger, a bit firmer. and as someone who has a larger bust, if I don't wear form-fitting clothing, I end up looking three times as large as I actually am. to flatter my shape, I need fitted tops and dresses that cinch the waist. thus, I've been embracing the bump!
if you have a large chest (DD or higher), you've probably been there, nearly in the tears, in the fitting room of a store. after trying on what seems like 100 adorably patterned, trendy, strappy bikini tops, none of them fit. NONE.
tomorrow I'll be sharing my week 13-16 recap (weeks 13, 14, 15, 16), but today I woke up and decided to actually put on an outfit that wouldn't be classified as pajamas or athleisure, so I wanted to commemorate this victorious moment with a quick post!
if you missed my living room before and after post, read that first so you'll understand why I started redecorating in the first place.
long story short, when Lu and I moved in together, I didn't have any of my own furniture, so we used all of his dark, moody bachelor-pad-esque stuff. I hated it, but alas, I had just started my own business and was putting every cent I had left and made into growing Inspiralized.
I am so desperate for spring to be here.
there have been little teases of 50 degree weeks, 65 degree days, and even 70 degree days in February and early March and now.... we're back to 20 degree days and snow.
in july, my parents moved to Florida. they've been spending the past 5 or 6 winters in Florida, and they finally made the move down there. my father's not retired, so he still comes up every couple of weeks from spring through early winter, but then they're in Florida until around late march.
ever since Inspiralized moved out of our living room and into its own office space, I've had fun redecorating our living room space.
goodbye clutter! now, I can actually see the walls of my living room, they're not covered by shelving and stacks of papers. it's liberating, refreshing, and has helped me become more inspired and let my personal style shine even more.
I'm back with another gift guide! I've almost done with my holiday shopping (thank GOSH!), and a few of these items I actually bought!
here are some gift ideas for that homebody friend that loves to Netflix and chill (with a guy/girl/cat, whatever!)
