needless to say, it's been a rough start to April and I'm falling a bit behind! if you follow me on @inspiralized, you know that I woke up last week with Bell's Palsy, a condition that renders half of your face completely paralyzed. not cute, extremely uncomfortable, and really scary.
my mother always told me to moisturize. I think that's the only thing I've done consistently with my skin since I was in middle school - always apply moisturizer. perhaps that's why my skin still glows in the wintertime? who knows, but today, I'm sharing my simple skincare routine - for morning and night!
currently, this is what my skincare routine consists of:
whenever I talk about my family, I only ever speak of my parents, grandparents and my sister. but, I actually have an older brother named David, who is 34 years old.
Let's make vegan no-bake lactation energy bites!
wife, friend, sister, daughter, girlfriend, fiancé, mother - all of these gifts will put a smile on her face! they would for me, at least!
I'm not a big freezer meal prep kinda gal. it's just Lu and I and neither of us travel too much for work, so there's never a reason to really have an arsenal of freezer meals. I love to cook fresh foods and I hate eating the same thing twice in a week. having said that, there have been a few times I've been just too exhausted to cook and I haven't wanted to order something unhealthy and I've found myself thinking, "I wish I had frozen leftovers I could defrost!"
...Friday, Lu flew back home from an LA work trip and his mother flew in from Puerto Rico to spend the weekend with us. we went out to dinner in our neighborhood and then came back and relaxed.
...Friday, I ended the day at 3:30pm. I NEVER do this. I can't actually remember the last time I did this, it must have been two years ago, around the time I got married. I watched To The Bone on Netflix. It was okay - not as eye-opening about the illness (anorexia), but a good story. after that, I went out to dinner with Lu and then we came back and started Riverdale on Netflix. WE'RE HOOKED!
what I'm into lately and a recap of the weekend!
when we got back from our babymoon, I didn't think it was possible to love Lu anymore. at some point I asked him, "do you still feel as excited to be with me as you did on our honeymoon?" and we both agreed, yes, of course - and even more so! even though a babymoon isn't as emotionally exhilarating as coming off a wedding, it's special in its own way, because it's the start of a new chapter together.
